This is a link rather than a re-post. Some years ago I wrote about a bunch of books about genetics for the Wellcome Trust. They are short reviews of a range of titles about the subject, its history and the people who do it. I’d pretty much forgotten about them but happened to notice today that – to my surprise – they are still accessible in a corner of the mighty internet edifice that is the Trust website. So here’s the link to the introduction, which in turn will take you to short reviews of 20 books, from The Selfish Gene to Paul Rabinow’s Making PCR via The Eighth Day of Creation and Kitcher’s The Lives to Come.
